Introduction To Darts

Introduction
This is a basic introduction to darts. It includes rules and
basic strategy for the two most common games, X01 and Cricket.
It also includes rules for some lesser-known games.
It is targeted primarily towards new players, but even
experienced players may benefit.
This was written with steel tip darts in mind. There are
some significant differences between steel tip and soft tip darts.
Soft tip is played using electronic dartboards which handle the
scorekeeping. Steel tip uses standard bristle dartboards. As
an example of rule differences, in soft tip darts you don't always
have to double-out in X01 games, where in steel tip your last
dart always has to be a double. Also, in soft-tip the single bull
(the outer bull which would count as a single-bull in steel tip)
sometimes counts as a double bull.
I've broken the article into seperate sections, with each on one
page, so you can easily jump to different sections. You'll find an
index at the end of each section, or you can jump to the
index by clicking on the link on the left side of your screen.
I'm always interested in feedback. Just Email me with your comments!
